Detailed Directions

From Google Maps
Lees Ferry Lodge is located 120 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona, at the edge of the Vermilion Cliffs National Wilderness Area, on Hwy 89A, 3.5 miles west of the Navajo Bridge, which spans the Colorado River.
We're just 10 miles from Lees Ferry, the entry point for Grand Canyon river trips, and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. We are also one of the nearest hotels to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Also nearby, Zion, Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend.
Lees Ferry offers incredible scenery, access to the Paria Wilderness Area, a launch ramp and walk-in fishing areas, as well as historic buildings and trails.
The Lodge's location makes for an easily accessible day-trip kayak and fishing entry point inside Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Grand Canyon National Park.
From Las Vegas Nevada
Take I-15 north from Las Vegas for about 2.5 hours to St. George, Utah. Continue seven miles past St. George to Exit 16 (Route 9). Follow Route 9 for 10 miles to the town of Hurricane. When you enter the town of Hurricane, Route 9 becomes State street.
Stay on State St. through the center of Hurricane and turn right at the light at Main Street. Go to the stop sign and turn left. You are now on Rte. 59, which will rapidly climb up to the top of the mesa just east of town. Follow Rte. 59 for about 52 miles, until you reach a stop sign in Fredonia, Arizona. (Note: Rte. 59 becomes Rte. 389 once you cross the Utah/Arizona border.)
Turn right at the stop sign (you will be turning onto Route 89A, the Vermilion Cliffs Scenic Road). Follow Route 89A for approximately 75 miles. You will pass Jacob Lake at the top of the Kaibab Plateau. Continue down the winding road past Cliff Dwellers (sorry, there are no cliff dwellings in the area!). Lees Ferry Lodge at Vermilion Cliffs is on the left at mile post 541.5.
Approximate driving time: 5 hours
From Phoenix Arizona
Take I-17 North to Flagstaff. Take I-40 east to Exit 201 (Hwy 89 north, Page/Grand Canyon). This road will take you through the outskirts of Flagstaff and north onto the Navajo Reservation.
Stay on Hwy 89 for about 100 miles, then turn left on Hwy 89A and follow the signs toward Lees Ferry. After you cross the Navajo Bridge over the Colorado River, you'll pass the Lees Ferry turnoff (please stay on the highway). Just three and a half miles more and you're there!
Approximate driving time: 4 hours

What People Are Saying

“Such a cool place! Has a lot of history and the new owners are currently updating the place while still trying to keep it's old charm. It's comfortable, clean, in a great location if you're going to Marble Canyon, Grand Canyon, etc. Everyone is super friendly and helpful - they have a bar and pool table so people tend to hang out in the lobby and it feels social. They offer a fun kayaking experience down the Colorado River that I highly recommend. It was one of the highlights of our road trip!” - Tara
